A photographer gets his first own photoshoot

?I am a photographer and I know exactly what I want and what I don?t want! I love to take pictures of people and of my girlfriend but I mean ?Love Is Traveling? isn?t just her, ?Love Is Traveling? is us ? Jess AND Gonzalo!?.

That was the beginning of the search for a person who is keen enough to take pictures of the photographer and his girlfriend.

We have never looked for somebody like asking people but one day there was Frederic Ramirez. (More about Frederics pictures here.) He was curious about our project and told us that he wants us as his personal couple-shooting. Here we are!

Where did we take the pictures and how did we start and work?

Simply! In September when we were back in Spain and visited some friends and family in Avila and Madrid we made an appointment with Frederic and met him kind of spontaneously in Madrid ? after the heavy rainy day. 😛

Frederic knew many cosy and alternative places like one park called ‘Esta es una plaza‘ which is owned by the neighbours. That means that the neighbours take care of the park; they plant plants, flowers, vegetables, they built benches and tables and make the park in their individual way.

But first of all we took a sit, had a drink and talked. After getting comfortable?with each other, although Gonzalo knew Frederic before because of skating?together in the Dominican Republic years ago, Frederic started with taking pictures while we were still sitting and drinking.

We really like to act normal and not to put on an act. We want to watch the pictures and mirror exactly our person in real life. That?s what Frederic realised! Walking around in Madrid being followed by a photographer is just something Jess is used to 😀 A big new experience for Gonzalo, the one who sees the world behind the camera is suddenly in front of it. After the bar we went to a playing ground where plenty of kids were playing and the shooting was in-between!
And then playing we kept walking and came to that amazing park where we kept playing 😀

Yes, it was the day of being serious, childish, crazy, lovely, funny and more because that?s how a day looks like in our life.

• When you are sad there?s always a shoulder to lean on and feel safe and comfortable.

• When there is a day full of happiness and laughter there is a person you can share all your laughs with.

• When you are angry and dissatisfied there?s a person you can empty all your anger and you will find a solution together.

• When there is a day full of love you know you are with the right person because everything the person does for you is because of love.

An amazing photo shooting with all expression of love is traveling because love always needs two persons.
Our photoshoot ended with a drink in a bar.
