We?re in our finals to leave Germany and start our adventure in Thailand and Bali.
Tomorrow we?ll take our flight to Bangkok, but why did we decide to go to Thailand and why now? All details now!
Why is now the perfect time for the next adventure?
Maybe you once read about Gonzalo and me. Gonzalo is working for Google and can work from every place in the world. I?m a student and have schedules. I just finished the semester and have a break until April. What else could we have done than traveling? Every little possibility has to be used for exploring our world!
Additional it?s really cold in Europe ? we love snow and skiing but the weather can?t decide if it should snow or rain. The weather is nasty, we have to escape!
Furthermore March is the perfect month to take a break and enjoy countries where the sun doesn?t stop shining.
Nonetheless I have a friend in Phuket who?s studying one semester abroad. Reunion in Thailand, we almost can?t wait!
Why Thailand?
That question is almost answered in the last sentences above: Visiting our friend in Phuket. One year ago Caro decided to leave Germany and have one semester in Phuket. I would have loved to join her but there were other plans waiting for me so I promised to visit her. There was no better possibility than this studying break! Now Gonzalo and I are almost on the way!
Besides visiting a friend we heart about many awesome stories about the culture, the food, the landscape, the people and more. It made us curios. Let?s see what we?ll experience in Thailand!
Did we organize anything?
Organisation ? yes, sometimes we have to!
Our time is limited: in April my studies will continue. So in general we?ve got five weeks to enjoy till the top.
In January we booked our flights and made a rough plan about our time in Thailand. For many European people it?s not necessary to apply for a visa. Gonzalo (Spanish) and I (German) can stay in Thailand 30 days without any visa. That made our decision: four weeks traveling through Thailand. Any way we wanted to use every single day we have at our disposal.
So we needed another plan for one more week. Thailand is surrounded of many amazing countries. Flights in Asia aren?t that expensive. We booked ours on that website: airasia.com. At the end ? nobody knows why exactly ? we made a resolution: one week in Bali!
Besides we made a plan how much time we wanna spend in the North of Thailand and how much in the South. Because it?s a kind of short time travel it was important for us to make a rough plan. We will stay two days in Bangkok, go to Chiang Mai by train and two weeks later we take a plane to Phuket where we?ll spend another two weeks. The next stop will be Bali. Nevertheless we have no idea what we?ll do in Bangkok, in the North, in the South either in Bali.
We will go with the flow and be opened for many adventures!
What about luggage?
We wanna travel as light as possible.
Gonzalo is taking his camera gear bag: drone, two lenses, camera, gopro, laptop and plenty of cables and more…
He?s responsible for amazing videos and pictures of all our destinations.
I will go with a backpack and am responsible for our clothes and the personal hygiene like shampoo, toothbrush, suncream etc.
We will check in my backpack just, the rest will be hand luggage.
Fortunately Thailand is a constantly warm country and we don?t have to be prepared of many different weather changes.

What about accommodations?
The only accommodation we booked so far is the first night in Bangkok. We found a beautiful entire house on Airbnb for 10? a night.
More booking will be done when we?re in situ like arriving to Chiang Mai walking through the streets and getting an idea about the locations and the prices and leave the door open for lots of coincidence!
Besides we hope to find some couches to enjoy time with locals and get many many insider tips. We will keep you guys up to date!
Any other plans?
Oh year we have many plans in mind: diving, surfing, hiking, swimming, elephants, motorbike, waterfalls, rice fields, sunsets, sunrises, thai food, thai markets, tuk tuk, locals, and more!
Can we realise everything? There?s never a guarantee! Coincidence is coming and leaving.
We?re ready for everything!

Liebste Gr??e
Also uns wurde nichts geklaut. Die Affen waren ziemlich frech und haben einem Essen aus der Hand geklaut, aber mehr nicht 😀 Aber passt beim Geld wechseln auf und z?hlt immer nochmal nach! Da wurden wir leider einmal betrogen…
