Have you ever asked yourself how we keep our relationship up to date? What is the key to be in a relationship while one person lives in Spain and the other in Germany?
Fortunately, Gonzalo loves taking pictures and he’s a photographer at day and night, he doesn’t stop taking pictures even when we’re apart of each other. So the only possibility for him to take pictures in a distance is FaceTime-Screenshots. To keep being updated and to see each other now and then we face-time as often as possible. That means there are normal days:
Then there are stupid days when I try to get special new faces:
Sometimes there are days or better nights I better prefer to sleep than talking. So whether I go to brush my teeth or I already lie on the bed or on the table there are screenshots:
Sometimes we watched TV together like Timon and Pumba and compare them (Spanish vs. German):
When I have a new haircut I present myself – girls like to hear nice things about their hair.
Then there are the days we’re just getting crazy and do stupid stuff. Then our FaceTime looks more or less like that:
People ask us how we are there for each other and yes there are times we miss each other a lot. Sadly even FaceTime doesn’t replace proximity:
But fortunately the good times predominate and the eyes keep dry:
That’s Jess and Gonzalo – Love is traveling even in two different countries!
In a relationship, it doesn’t matter if it’s in one place or in distance, the most important thing is to have an open ear and to share daily activities and if you can’t share it in real person at least you can share it with the new technology like FaceTime. We’re doing well face-timing now and then and keep our lives up to date. After being together again the most difficult part is using FaceTime again but that’s life and with a couple of days you get used to it again and it makes life easier again.
By the way, we even sometimes have lunch or dinner together through FaceTime and of course, we cook together! It’s just we can not help each other preparing or cleaning dishes…
The key is FaceTime!
